Delisa is an artist and business owner looking for a new art space to potentially sell her art and create a community with other artists.
Kristin works with each client in a unique way, listening deeply to their needs and the energy of their business.
Kristin encourages listeners to check the show notes page for an update on Delisa's progress after the coaching session.
Delisa has been an artist since she was two years old.
She has had various iterations of her art career.
She wants to run her business in a different way, focusing on a more spiritual and conscious approach to marketing and revealing her art to the right people.
Kristin suggests Delisa create an art piece representing the flow she wants to create, with the primary intention of this piece being a spiritual practice before she sits down to paint.
Delisa is ambivalent about her current art studio space and feels she has outgrown it.
The purpose of the space is to create, sell, and connect with people, including inspiring young artists and supporting women switching careers.
Delisa is open to the idea of a cooperative space with fellow artists to share the responsibility of running the studio.
When the space comes, Delisa sees it and resonates with it, feeling like it's her home.
Attract a different type of space by not forcing anybody and using a vision board to clarify the look and feel of the space.
Consider if the space will attract foot traffic, is easy to find, or is near a wonderful coffee shop.
Delisa expresses a desire to re-emerge in a softer way after feeling smaller during the pandemic.
Kristin emphasizes the importance of letting the re-emergence happen naturally and suggests creating an art piece as a reminder of the new way of being.
Delisa acknowledges the need to trust that the right studio will come around and emphasizes the importance of listening and receiving in her new approach to life and art.
Delisa needs to give herself time for the muse and to be replenished and rejuvenated because that artist part of her might be really exhausted.
Delisa needs to let go of the part of her that is so hard on herself because that uses a tremendous amount of energy.
Kristin suggests Delisa to do some active imagination to dialogue with the inner task master and understand its origin and purpose.
There is a level of vulnerability and softness, and we can't go from zero to 60. Trying to force that lotus blossom to blossom isn't gonna happen, right?
It's gonna happen on its own timing. We can work and help and assist that softness and that flow and that attraction through the dialogue.
You have a wonderful ability that is sometimes rare in a business owner, which is the combination of logic with real creativity.
The key right now is to create an effortless flow and lushness for the next stage of your life.
I'm excited to see the new space that you're going to draw to you.
Delisa's words in a coaching session affirm that artists and creative individuals can make a living.
Delisa's art studio is located in Marin County, California.
